Score one of the good guys! This week there will be 39 fewer people who will be viewing sexually exploited children.
Get this: the range in age of the people arrested is 14 to 61. I find this astounding. The youngest viewing this material is the prime target of those being victimized, or so I thought until I read this article. The poor child being victimized in the video that was distributed was only five years old. That’s right, FIVE YEARS OLD! And by a man who currently serving a prison sentence.
This is an area that deeply disturbs me. It destroys everyone involved. From the black-hearted pedophiles to the victimized children. I am, however, glad to hear that it is due to advances in technology that enable law enforcement to find the people responsible for making and/or distributing this sort of material. Investigators now have the ability to trace files to where they are being stored.
