Marriages are Threatened by Net Porn
It should come as no surprise that Internet pornography is thriving these days, and shows no signs of slowing down. With millions of Web surfers hunting it down on a daily basis and all the other ways sex infiltrates our homes and minds, it’s no wonder why society and marriages are negatively impacted by it all.
The full affect of online porn hasn’t been identified just yet. In fact, the first generation of online porn users are becoming adults, and it is anticipated that the effects will become more clearly defined. And unless parents today take strong measures to protect their children from porn, it is my belief that the effects will be far-reaching and erode relationships, especially marriages, before they even get a chance to build strong foundations in themselves.
Current evidence suggested in this article indicates that the effect pornography has on families and marriages is far more severe than the print and video variety of porn. According to lawyers, a large portion of divorces occur because porn has grabbed hold of the sexually obsessed and destroyed marriages.
I found it interesting that 30 percent of the Internet porn market is made up of women. Equally as interesting is the article compared the Internet porn user to a narcotic user in that they share the same brain chemistry profile after being exposed to their addictions. That says a lot.
Later this week I’ll post some resources that can help break online porn addiction.
